BSHAA Hearing Check
« on: January 05, 2011, 08:25:27 am »
Over 8 million people in the UK, young and old, suffer from some form of hearing loss. Perhaps only one quarter of this number who could benefit from wearing hearing aids actually wear them. A simple first step to find out if you have a hearing problem can be performed by trying our simple test below.

Check Your Hearing

This online hearing test will play you four tones, one after the other. Each tone is at a different frequency: 500hz; 1000hz; 2000hz and 4000hz. Click 'Yes' or 'No' depending on whether you can hear the tone being played or not.
This test should be done in a quiet room, preferably using headphones plugged into your computer and you should set your PC sound output at the normal level that you use for everyday use. Press the 'Play Test Sound' button below to make sure that your computer sound is level set correctly. If you can hear the sound, start the test by clicking the 'Start the Test' link
