Can hearing aids be reprogramed for another person?
« on: February 01, 2012, 02:08:48 am »
Hi All,
Hearing loss in one ear was caused by Menaires Disease.  The hearing aid I have at the present is an in-the-ear model.  I tried using an-in- the- ear hearing aid in the other ear but found that I enjoyed natural sound better than amplified sound, even if it would help me, so, although I could use another aid for that ear, I am doing without.

Recently a friend of mine lost her mother.  My freiend now has two hearing aids that fit in back of the ear.  She has offered them to me.  I haven't accepted them because I don't know if they can be reprogramed for my needs. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi There....

The hearing aid can be reprogrammed by the experienced audiologist because he is the only person who have better knowledge of reading an audiogram, which is useful to identify your hearing ability.
